I'm interested in seeing if a completely remote mattress run would work, whereby you make a reservation for the cheapest possible room across the entire chain, at a location that supports digital keys, checking in from the comfort of your home, and then getting the receipt electronically delivered the next day.
I have done online check-in, not showed up and got the stay credit several times.
All these occasions have been at the same Hampton in Scotland.
