I use multiple spellings of my name and six different email addresses. I also frequently use different spellings of my home address.

When I recieve a junk mail, I can almost always idenitfy who supplied my name by how it is addressed. I get very little (about one every three months or so necause I scrub myself off mailing lists), so it is easy to make time to scrutinize the mail.

When I get a class action notice about a lawsuit against a defendant I have NEVER done business with, or if the notice is addressed differently then the address on file with the defendant, then I know someone is forging the list. I get about one class action notice each month. Almost every time the lawsuit is against a defendant I never heard of, or did business with. In the case of the domestic air class action, this is the very first time the defendant's identity was hidden from me (why is it that they cannot tell me what airline Isuposedly flew with?).

You annot tell me that Rust Consulting obtained my info from one of the airlines. I know for a fact that they obtained it elsewhere. I do not know exactly from where they obtained it.

When this sort of thing happens, I almost always get an apology from the sender. They are often willing to share the source. Typically it is some trashy mailing list provider from India that steals info from resumes posted on indeed, or other places.

Typically the demographic info that is sold with my name and address is completely made up nonsense. They often list me as married with two kids, deep debt, SUV, Hispanic, etc (average "California Joe" crap). Of course the info is wrong; my wife and I are childfree and debt free.

If I contact the supplier, they are almost always willing to strike my info, and offer an apolagy. Often they make some claim like, "It was an intern that is no onger with the comany that was responcible".

However companies like Rust Consulting refuse to cooperate in any way. They run behind the law just like a grade school bully who runs to the school faculty when his or her victims fight back. They offer no apology. They offer no remorse. It does not matter how much I beg them, or how much I try to offer a friendly solution.

Rust Consultinmg is comitting fraud. I exposed them. They ran to the law because they had no other way to cover up the scam other than to ruin my name. They could have just wrote it off as a mistake on thier part and agreed to block me. They also could have just admitted to what they did.
