Sounds fishy - I don't believe Delta ever asks for additional information once you are off the plane - certainly never happened to me
I also once attended to a FA on a TATL flight who had fallen ill, with non-stop vomiting, got it under control, and worked out a system with her to get some fluids In her - and we made it just fine to our destination. When I arrived in my office the following day, there was a huge gift basket with a touching thank you note from the flight crew on the flight
