I just discovered these two threads and the whole Oasis issue. Mrs Huge and I will be flying in 72 hours on two 737-800's - from STT-MIA and MIA-SAN. I am confident that the first segment is Oasis (FC is row 1-4 not 3-6) and I suspect that the second segment is as well. We have already been upgraded for the first segment (umm, yay??) but because I am Platinum Pro and Mrs Huge has no status, we would have to spend 3 of my 4 500-mile upgrades to upgrade her. With all the complaints ITT about Oasis, which of the following would you argue:
(A) Oasis is so bad that you should both reject the upgrade and move back to row 17 (second exit row), take D & F and hope no-one sits between you
(B) Oasis is not worth spending 500-mile upgrade stickers on, but it's still worth taking for free (Mrs H is fine with us flying separately - i'd let her have the Y seat)
(C) Just spend the upgrade stickers - yeah it's lame but it's still FC, and who knows when you'll get it again (though I'll be Gold next year so I might have better use)
If we *do* go for the upgrade, it's wide open. It sounds like there are problems with both row 1 and row 4 - any suggestions on row choice?
Thanks for any last-minute advice....
