Oops, yes, I should have mentioned I will be there toward the end of January. I haven't checked Airbnb, but I should look into that. I've booked a fully refundable room at "Ultimate Apartments Bondi Beach" that looks good for about $116USD per night, but I don't know if there's a better area than Bondi beach for what I'm looking for. I suppose I'm mainly trying to figure out what a good area would be in (close to some snorkeling, laid back atmosphere, easy to get there via train/bus, etc).
