Near London you can visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I visited it in Mai 2012, shortly after it opened at 31th March. As I was in this region I decided to visit again.
You have to buy timed tickets online which are especially at conveniant times sell out fast. When you reach the sight you first have to show your reservation.

To enter you have to show your ticket a few time. After it you can explore "security by morons". You first have to line up and the first security expert inspects your bag. After this inspection you line up again and the second security expert searches your body while you place your bag on a table. Really a clever system, as it is impossible this way first to have a weapon at your body, after the first inspection to place it in your bag and to enter with it. As I said many times before this security checks have mainly two intention in my eyes: First if something happens they can claim they did everything to prevent it and some people feel safer. First you stand in a big room with the dreagon. There are also some costumes and food outlets.


Of Course there are also shops with merchandise. You can buy your wand, rope, sweets or broomstick. Everything of course for Give-away prices.



After you enter for the tour you visit the cupboard under the stairs.

After it you get a video introducion before you line up before the entrance of the great hall.

The great hall is the original movie set and itīs fascinating with how much attention to detail everything was build.
