This caught my eye as I was leaving FT. FWIW I'm usually a BAEC and frequent that forum. I'm profoundly deaf and reliant on subtitles to watch anything, be it TV, film etc. It does annoy me greatly that alot of the latest films in IFE do not come with closed captions for the deaf and hard of hearing. The technology is out there and there is no excuse for airlines alienating those with a hearing disability. I complain every time and get a load of avios back with the generic apology which basically means that BA are not going to do anything about it.

It is high time the regulatory bodies insist that every film/tv program has subtitles on the English language content. BA will put subtitles on the type of film I dont watch but not put them on the type of film I do watch!

Yes - we could download movies to an iPad but not everyone has one and why should I pay for downloading movies when I am paying handsomely for a premium seat!

Makes my blood boil!!!
