She brought the champagne, captain made short announcement over PA that we just got engaged, got lots of claps and cheers from the passengers.
After the flight crew invited us to the cockpit to take some pictures, and then more pictures outside the aircraft. I don't think it bother the passengers and we were still getting congratulations while we were waiting for our bags.
Great story! I'm impressed at your bravado for proposing on a short-haul Q400 and kudos to LOT for really making it special with champagne on an otherwise no-alcohol flight. Simply wow!
Also good to see that many passengers seemed to have responded very positively. After all, it made an otherwise boring and mundane flight interesting for them too. Quite a story to tell for everyone involved, crew included. I can imagine an FA or pilot telling their family or friends: "Can you imagine that someone proposed on a turboprop!? A Dash 8 for gosh's sake!"
Now, how did you approach the conversation with the airline when you arranged it all a few weeks in advance? Did you have status with LOT? It seemed that they really went above and beyond not just with the bubbly, but also with the post-arrival tour of the cockpit.
