I doubt the "old" Tunisian passport had biometrics. In my "old" passport I had residency visas for both Qatar and the UAE. Passport expired. Now when I enter/leave those countries I only have an electronic card. The two countries do not know if I have been in the other one. Similarly, on entry into the USA, the USA only sees my stamps in my passport, and asks questions about my (old) Turkish entry/exit stamps, etc. Naturally they don't know where I go except for the stamps they see...
I do NOT carry evisa cards, identifiers or overseas currency when I travel into the USA -only CAD/USD and my Canadian credit card and drivers license.
My old Canadian passport was machine readable, but did not have a chip. I doubt the old passport from Tunisia had a chip either. I stand to be corrected.
