I find the ambassador program beneficial, so I want to hit it again. Wonder if i come in a night or two light if they will throw me a bone due to my spend. Not sure if i want to chance it.
Don't know if they will throw you a bone. This is the first full year in the merged Ambassador program so we don't really have any history on that. I don't think Ambassador converted from Plat Premier. I believe Plat Premier converted to Titanium. The Ambassador program stands on it's own because it's not fully dependent on the number of nights you stay with Marriott. It also requires a $20K spend. I made Ambassador this past year with my number of nights and spend. While Ambassador status has been a real mix of helpfulness and no help whatsoever, I might try and go for it if I was only 10 nights away. That's when I would have a meeting for a couple of hours and get awarded 10 elite nights as a result. It's going to be hard to make another 10 nights if there's only 15 nights left this year.
