Cosmile doesn't seem particularly exciting at the moment, but it seems that for their status match, if you do it before 2021, you will get 4 years of status. Based on their current routes, I can't see many people gaining status from flying, and they would at least want some people to use the lounges since there's 8 business class seats per flight.

Seems like they are setting things up for the future, will be interesting to see if/how the program evolves if the airline sees success.
