Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Fantastic stay – probably my best IC stay to date.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Prestige Suite (Ambassador Free Night Certificate) + one night with the RA Free Night. Contacted the hotel in advance and with a mix of cash and points we found ourselves in one of their Ambassador Suites with a connecting Junior Suite.
How are the rooms?
Both rooms are newly refurbished and they look fresh, yet in style with the historic building. Very elegant. Especially the Ambassador Suite was absolutely lovely.
How is the exec. lounge?
I was aware that the lounge had been moved prior to my stay. This temporary location is not a very exciting place, but amazingly enough there were some lounge maximizers literarily spending hour after hour there. Everything else about the lounge is still top notch (staff, quality of food / drinks).
Did you receive a welcome gift?
Different small gifts for the kids, some chocolate, a massive fruit tray (new every day) and Moët & Chandon Imperial (new bottle every day).
How was the minibar?
Didn’t investigate too much. Seemed to be of good quality. We consumed what we needed - no mention of any charges at check-out (unsure if we went over the limit).
What was good and what was bad?
Good
Staff is superb
The refurbished rooms / areas all look fresh without ruining the historic vibe
Choice of breakfast in lounge or Café de la Paix. Opted for the latter
Very fast to respond when contacting them in advance (both concierge and guest relations / reservations)
Refurbishment is done very discretely. Noise was not an issue at any point
Bad
Nothing really. The Club Lounge is nothing special, but the temporary relocation is understandable.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Stay wasn’t cheap, but it was well worth it.
Would you return?
