There's a travel channel show that my husband loves where the prime minister of New Zealand takes a reporter all over New Zealand, going mountain climbing, skiing, caving, and trying numerous wacky sports. (Remember, this is the country that claims to have invented bungy jumping.) Anyhow, the scenery looks gorgeous, the weather wouldn't be too hot and it seems like there would lots of things for an adventurous teen to try.

Can't reccommend it personally as of yet, but it's on our list of "Places to visit when our son gets old enough."
