When I book from ebookers in the Netherlands, they have the ticket ready for collection for me at Schipol. Last time I did it, I did LGW-AMS , ran through the airport, picked up the tickets and hopped onto the same plane back to Gatwick.

By doing the trip to AMS as a an afternoon out the day before, I didnt need to take any luggage and since I stayed in London for less than 24hrs it didnt count as a stopover
