If AA’s A330s are still the US Air ones and the interiors haven’t been changed, then I would rather fly on the 787. I’m a broad-shouldered man and for this factor alone my vote ought to go to the 330 but... the seats on those planes (again, if not refurbished since their US Air days) is very similar to the old Lufthansa/BMI recaro seat on short haul: no back rest, no lumbar support, very “squishy”. Did a MAD-CLT return and the thing disassembled my spine and rebuilt it in L-shape.

The 787 has better comfort in my view.

Both had an IFE box, content was better on AA because BA gets a 18-year-old from Feltham doing the choosing of films and music, or so it seems. Having said that, AA had Dolly Parton under “classical” music...
