Just came back from a week long stay at this property. There are no other posts on this hotel so I've figured that I will share my thoughts.
Room: It reminds me of old Hampton Inn property. Definitely not up to HGI standards. Not very appealing. I'm used to get crispy linen at Hilton properties, but this one came straight from the dryer.
There is Keurig machine with selection of coffees. Closet had enough hangers for week worth of my clothes. There were also iron and ironing board.
In room heater was very loud. Every time it would start or stop it was like someone was throwing a hammer into metal box.
The TV set is probably the first generation of flat screen TVs. If you didn't hold your remote controller at the right angle, you wouldn't be able to change the channel. Because of that it took forever to go via the channel line up (about 15 minutes to go from channel 1 to channel 51). You had to visit every channel as there was no guide option on the remote. Not all channels would work every day. On Sunday and Monday I could watch TBS, but not on Tuesday and Wednesday. TLC channel worked only on Wednesday and Thursday. What's up with that?
Bathroom: Had most amenities. In general, bathroom was clean, but it started molding above the shower. Plenty of towels. That way I had only 1 room housekeeping visit during my stay (I only do housekeeping when I ran out of towels).
Lobby: Small lobby. When people were gathering in the morning before heading out, it would get full. The coffee section was in the middle of the lobby, and when people were waiting for their colleagues it was hard to get to the coffee station. Maybe if they removed half of those unnecessary lobby decorations, they could make more room for people.
Restaurant/Breakfast: They have restaurant with the bar where they serve breakfast and dinner. I didn't eat there after work, only breakfast first 3 days.
They charge you $12.99 for made to order breakfast (if you didn't book room with breakfast or if you don't have status with Hilton). I ate there only first 3 days because the food was exactly the same every day. Eggs, fried potatoes, beacon and sausage. I've never been to a hotel where they would serve exactly the same food every single day. Rotate! I don't want to eat the same thing every day. Seriously.
The nicest thing about the breakfast service were the people who worked there. Chef and two wait staff. They were pleasant to deal with.
Hotel Staff: Besides first check in "Hello" nobody else said to me hello during the entire week. I really don't care much about it, but it got my attention as it is something unusual in the hospitality sector. I've been passing front desk at least 5-6 times every day, passing employees on the hallways, and not even once someone would say "Hello". They seem to be very uninterested bunch. As mentioned above, only restaurant employees were very nice and friendly.
Parking: Plenty of free parking all around hotel building.
These are my views of the very recent stay at this property. Would I stay there again? Definitely not. I have customer in this area, but next time I will stay at Hampton Inn by Eastview Mall. Little bit further from the office, but maybe there I can find friendlier people.
