Hi folks,

Not a frequent traveller to these parts... first time flying AC, and first time connecting domestically within Canada, so please be gentle with what could appear to be silly questions.

In about a week I'll be doing the outbound of the above routing, with a (deliberate) layover of about 8+ hours (arriving 12:10, departing 20:55) in YVR so that I can head out to town for some quick sightseeing. Do I have to pick up my bags and have them inspected at YVR? If not, will AC be able to check my bags through to YYC from PVG? And if not, will I be able to immediately re-check my bags for the domestic flight? And if not, what's the most convenient/cheapest way to store two or three full-sized suitcases at YVR for a few hours?

There's an overnight layover (arriving 23:00, departing 12:25 the next day) on the inbound. Again, would AC be able to check the bags through to PVG at YYC?

Travelling in business class, with *G status on SQ, if that helps.
