When I inquired to UA about swapping the 10,000 miles upgrade on LAX-EWR to trying to get it under the EWR-BOM PlusPoints upgrade:
"We will be needing to redeposit the miles in the account and there would be a fee of $100 per person plus the request for the upgrade on the flight from EWR-BOM would be cancelled. You will be needing to request a new PlusPoints upgrade for both of the flights and you're standing on the list will be renewed"
The other stuff is all fine and I don't mind the extra 30-minute inconvenience, but that $200 I wasn't aware of. Kinda my fault in the first place but is the swap worth?
