The presence of Blue certainly affects the access to the free food and drink offerings, by taking the place of an additional free food/drink station upstairs.
It is certainly a waste of space, to the detriment of all the lounge patrons who are crammed into the remaining areas.
One of the goals of the lounge revamp was to alleviate congestion, which they have singularly failed to achieve. The messy layout doesn't exactly help either, all the people walking to and fro in search of mountains, deserts, oceans or whatever just exacerbates the problem.
