Mexico City on Christmas Day

We arrive on the 24th at night (and not concerned about food, etc., as the hotel will have something), but the family visit on the 25th looks like it might be canceled due to illness (not one of them, but they may need to leave town on a moment's notice). So, what might be open? Neighborhoods that are likely to have some activity? Not needing any fancy foods, and can always eat at the hotel should need be, but any advice re: barrios that are likely to have open dining, maybe some shops, etc., is appreciated.

(FYI, a while after posting, I checked Open Table and there are lots of restaurants open for dinner on the 25th).
