From handling your check-in baggage after it’s been screened and had only the main compartment marked with a easily removable security sticker to stamping your carry-ons & BPs, to not being allowed matchboxes on the flight to AI never carrying infant seat belts which part of India’s airport/airline safety & security has ever made sense? All these rules have been made by out-of-touch clueless babus sitting in the dark corner of some office govt. building in DEL.
Transit security for INT pax is based on origin & destination requirements. Security at the connecting airport is dependent on how well they can manage the flow of these pax. When they can’t. Everybody goes through security. Another example would be if you fly BOM-ME-CPT/JNB etc. you don’t go through transit security vs. again doing security if traveling to the US. And any pax from SIN going to the US doesn’t need to go through transit security when traveling through HKG, ICN, TYO etc.
