I did LHR-MUC-KBP-FRA-LHR. Didn't have luggage so can't comment on that. Couldn't check in either BA nor LH app, no luck at T5 too. At LH counter in MUC lady was rather perplexed why I'm flying from MUC to FRA via KBP, other than that no issues.
No lounge access as mentioned, paid for seat selection on LH flights and filed a claim with BA. Was a longshot anyway, but was but crossed with BA answer that they can't reimburse as it was my decision to fly LH
