Glad to hear that you enjoyed the review!
The addition of mattresses is a quick fix so I'm hopeful that ANA will get this sorted soon.

The negative: Window seat with no window views. The built-in wall blocked the window - the most stupid idea ever. I always suffer from the unnecessary heat that aircraft's crew/captain impose on passengers on every flight I have ever been on. ANA First Class did not have individual air flow controls, so I constantly had to remind the crew to lower the temperature. This has impacted my entire trip, because I could not sleep in a hot room.
Odd behavior of Japanese passengers. At Haneda, there were over 40 people standing in line for the 1st Class boarding with only 8 seat in the 1st Class section. They all went into the 1st Class See-through Glass Jetway, passed the First Class section, some landed in the Business Class, but some continued into the Economy section (I looked). I did not understand that stupidity since there was a separate Jetway for the Economy class. The show-off was ridiculous. During the initial boarding, I was the only passenger in the 1st Class cabin. Later on, 3 more passengers walked in.
The old seat had a lot of detractors (myself included). The design issues, including lack of air vents, have all been addressed with the new seat.
We had around 10 pax in the group 1 line and a huge number in group 2.
Perhaps on your flight groups 1 and 2 were combined?

Not at all, the whole menu is available at any time throughout the flight - just like on JL.
