Bottomline is you can check into as many properties as you want during the same period but you only get credit for one per night.
There’s no risk of being punished for that. However, if you are receiving elite night credit and spend credit for multiple stays in a single night, I would expect Marriott to take stronger action the more often you do this (even though this should be considered a Marriott IT issue), because after a certain point one could reasonably assume a guest was taking advantage of the glitch.
If I moved from one room to another at around 11pm, would that be considered occupying two rooms or one? Would Marriott offer me a free room since I am not occupying one of the rooms, according to your logic?
It’s a little funny to me that you’re trying to tell me I’m in the wrong for paying for two rooms at $300+ per room per night, because I got an extra night credit and 1000 extra Bonvoy points. How will Marriott turn a profit with scummy guests like myself
