The recline is worth it if you need to sleep, true. There is no difference in available bathrooms between PY and Y. And "better meals" is not saying much; the food is marginally better.
Washrooms varies based on plane. The 787
officially has the rear J washrooms available to PY pax, others like the 777HD and I think the 330 (if AC even still flies that) do not (
officially). The first meal on a longer flight is significantly better.
Now, given this looks like a 787, washrooms are available.

It's not moot. Even though it is O0, some of those may be trying to upgrade to J, which is J6. So if one of the PY passengers gets moved up, a seat opens up for someone trying to upgrade from Y. Also, there could be no-shows in PY, perhaps due to mis-connects or just changes in plans. So don't give up hope.
This is also a good point, plus you could also be the one to be moved up to J without copay or extra credits
