Another data point, I had trouble logging in a few days ago and got the too many failed logins error message. I waited 15 minutes and than approx. another 30 minutes and was still locked out (had also tried multiple browsers: Chrome and FireFox). I did a password reset and was back in immediately. Not sure if I was just fat fingering my password repeatedly or if there was an issue with authentication on the SWA site at the time. In any case the password reset was painless and not a big deal. So easy recovery regardless....
