You're rolling the dice.

Personally I'll take a Y seat in a exit / bulkhead row with nobody next to me over a PE middle seat for sure. I did a recent flight home from Europe where I was alone in row 18 A/B/C in a 788 and PY was completely full and I was certainly very content to be where I was. But knowing how many of the PY seats are really open, whether anyone eUps from PY to J and opens other seats, moves around their seat selection at check-in etc. is not really possible to tell at this point. Nor is whether someone ends up in Y next to you.

Personally on very light loads in Y where the seat maps shows open next to me then I'll usually stay in Y and take my chances. YMMV.
