Hey Folks, quick question for you. How accurate/reliable is ExpertFlyer when it comes to blocked seats? I have an upcoming flight and I had bid for an upgrade. Currently EF is only showing 7 seats left available, and 3 of those are middle seats. I have my seat booked already in Economy, and I'm wondering if I'm better off cancelling my bid and staying there as opposed to winning, but then being stuck in a middle seat. Here's were my question on the blocked seats come in. I've booked an aisle seat, and when I look at seat selection on Air Canada, it shows the the two other seats in the row (Middle and Window) are available for me to select. On Expertflyer however, it shows that the two seats have been blocked off. Both sites are showing many rows completely empty (and again, some are showing available to select on AC, but showing as blocked on EF)

Wondering if anyone has any insight or opinions. Should I cancel my bid upgrade and take my chances of an empty row in economy, or is a middle premium economy seat still better? Should I change my seat in economy to a full empty row, or leave it as is and hope that the other two seats are actually blocked off?
