Mil Hilton has refurbished all rooms in the last year or so & the rest of the hotel's public areas & exec lounge will follow (its held up really well actually) & certainly does not feel at all worn out.
It has held up pretty well, particularly in the light of its inauspicious start: built as a Sofitel but never occupied by them as the finished building was on a 1 degree lean; the resultant court cases dragged on for years, followed by extensive and expensive remediation work ( probably 8-10 years in all). It was touch’n’go if the whole thing would be demolished. I’m glad it survived: it’s a nice hotel.
