So here's my question:
I just need a US-sim to receive SMS messages in Europe, this due to BofA forcing me to approve every transfer within or to bank accounts/ credit card payments. Have looked into a simple T-mobile plan, however they charge me an extra $0.10 to RECEIVE a textmessage outside of the US. That was not going to fly. Not looking into having a expensive subscription that I don't use at all, nor getting into trouble for having to pay a certain amount for just receiving a textmessage/SMS. With my European SIM, receiving anything is free, however BofA is forcing me to get a US-number.
Have read about the $3/month plan that effectively just keeps your mobile number active, which looks fine to me. Above here, I finally found such a plan that can still be purchased through UltimateMobile Paygo. Can't find anything regarding the costs of receiving a SMS, so I guess that would be free?
The Verizon Page Plus plan charges $0.20 for every message either sent or received internationally, so that one doesn't fly either.
Anyway, it is stated that you can only get the Unlimited Paygo cards at "
PayGo plans can be purchased at T-Mobile Brand retail stores or T-Mobile Preferred retail stores.", so does this mean I can get this at ANY T-Mobile store?
Or are there only a select few who actually sell this. Will be traveling to Las Vegas, NV in January, if they sell it at any T-Mobile store, I'll pick up a card there.
