I'm taking protein powder out for my boyfriend and the bag that he's ordered weighs 1.2kg. It's all in one big bag so I can't even just take a small amount with me.

I'm quite a nervous flyer and I get anxious about check in and things like that so this is really worrying me as I'll be flying alone.

If anyone can give me some advice of what to do here I'd really appreciate it and it would calm my nerves.
Travelling from where to where?
If going across an international border may/will need to declare as food
Commercially packed and labelled or just powder in a plastic bag?
Powders can be mistaken for illicit drugs.
