There was no issue re not getting a return greeting it was just a data point fo the thread, the amusing bit was the CSM addressing the wrong passenger before turning to me.
There were 3 choices offered beef, salmon, and pasta. settled for the pasta as that was the only option left. But it was inedible (to me) which is unusual as normally pasta on BA is fine. We were in the last row of PE, and also the desert was not to my liking, but this is an first world problem and as you can tell I survived
