But why not compare? Singapore has quite a lot of low cost carriers competing in the market. Is SQ not as challenged on the staff cost on the Vietnam routes competing with Vietjet and Jetstar Asia out of Vietnam as SK is from Ryanair?
Air Asia Express, Hong Kong Express, Tiger Air, Lion Air, Air Malindo, Scoot, and many others. The idea that SQ, NH, CX, etc sit in this hyper attractive Asian market with zero LCC competitors is not correct.
For some reason the Asia marked in general haven't seen the same race towards the bottom yet as the European marked. It's not about whether there is LLC competitors or not. It's about the service level in the marked where the flights are operated and the airline has it's home base.
