Thanks, I overlooked that post when . It is good to see some GM interaction on this site. Unfortunately, my experience with their staff was not pleasant. I had stayed the Friday following Thanksgiving, one of the slowest days of the year (everyone is at home with their families, and there is very little business travel going on). Though I understand what you're saying and I would agree that the suites would typically be in short supply, there is absolutely no way the hotel reached capacity during my stay. Regardless, Randy the GM explicitly said that the Suites were not eligible for a complimentary upgrade.
Minor correction to your post, I never used a SNA because my stay was impromptu and booked last minute.
