SeaTac-based Alaska has signed an interline agreement with
Southern Airways Express, a Florida-based carrier that operates in the gulf and mid-Atlantic states as well as Hawaii.
The deal aims to help Alaska grow its nonstop flight traffic to Seattle and Portland from Batimore and Pittsburgh. The agreement gives passengers in those markets direct Alaska connections at the Pittsburgh or Baltimore-Washington airports, said
Mark Cestari, chief commercial officer of Southern Airways.
Not sure how useful, but maybe it will provide some inter-island redemption/booking in Hawaii in the
future.
