As part of my very first RTW venture in J, I have the option of flying from Tel Aviv to New York on a couple of different airlines. This leg is the one causing me dilemmas about which option to choose.

I'll be solo (female) so want privacy and the best experience I can.

1. Lufthansa A321 and A346. I'm not keen on the 2-2-2 seat set up because it looks like it's designed for couples rather than solos. Landing at JFK. (This was the first offering by the Travel Agent).
2. Swiss all the way. Unsure of the aircraft or landing.
3. Swiss with a United codeshare. 767 aircraft. I'm liking this the most because of the 1-1-1 configuration and the United Polaris seats and lounges. Landing at EWR.
4. Austrian A321 and 767 in 1-2-1 seat configuration. Landing at EWR.

I'm sort of ruling out the Lufthansa option because of the 2-2-2 configuration, and I'm leaning towards the United Polaris on the 767 at the moment. But what about Austrian? I've read that the food is the best on that.

Is Lufthansa a great option despite the seats? What would you choose out of those options?

I would love the best sleep, food, service and J experience. I'm new to J but want the best experience as it could be the start of a J addiction.

Thank you.
Is the United nonstop TLV-EWR not an option? TLV to Europe on a narrowbody is a really lousy way to start that trip.

OS is a pretty solid choice. The new United Polaris seat is a really excellent hard product especially if you value privacy, but the food is sorely lacking these days and service won't compare to a European carrier. Also note that unless you see the 18-row 767 configuration (that is also selling Premium Economy) that you could end up with the old seats since UA is the middle of a reconfig.

New York airports will start a lively debate, but in my opinion all three of them are equal for getting to Manhattan, and they are all awful.
