La Maison 1888 is superb.

Do not stay here if you want a cheap stay, even on points, unless you bring a bunch of potnoodles in your luggage.

I have only ever stayed here on points & free night certs but even then it is an expensive stay.

I have had upgrades as a Platinum member (which is unexpected at this property) on reward stays but not always. Next stay is on points again but as a Spire Amb so will see if there is any difference; doubtful.

Always had a free 75cl bottle of wine in my room but don't know if that's standard or a plat perk or pure luck.
