Done some research now.
Ah, the MAD to BOG falling short but BCN outbound is a brilliant idea. However, it doesn't come back. So LHR it is.
I have been through all the usual suspects for places to start from. Ex FAO/LIS, ATH, IST, VIE, BRU and BCN. I have come to the conclusion that it is IST for F and ATH for J if you do not mind the travelling and can get a sufficiently cheap ticket one-way to make it worth bothering with. EasyJet do Athens, now I need a cheapie to IST.
IST is well worth it over the current "buy a J2BA and get a one way upgrade to First" option.
