I find it shocking these are thrown out each time after use, why not just replace the buds? I guess it’s the time taken to do so, but even worse they aren’t recycled. Especially given the amount of plastic the economy cabin already uses. Some people probably open the bag to inspect but not actually use/wear them.

I’m intrigued how many people actually do use them though? I almost only travel in WT and have never used a pair, always having my own headphones to hand. My partner who only flies once a year ensures wired headphones are in the handbag once they know they’re going on a flight, without prompting.

I know ‘enhancements’ are a bad thing here, but are they really necessary? Why not just make them available on request...?
