I thought the $100 my better half spent for a breville 'bit more' was a lot to spend for a toaster, but it's definitely a great toaster, consistent and easy to fine tune. I can't see spending much more than that.

For someone single, perhaps an all in one toaster oven with a convection / air fryer function would be ideal.
