Staying 3 nights in December on points as a first-time tourist, with one day at Disney. After reviewing this thread have narrowed choices to Marriott City Centre, JW Tomorrow Square, or Ren Yu Gardens. Of those 3, I would say the JW is the clear winner. You didn't mention LRM, but it's also in People's Square, and I'm torn between it v JW.
Yu Garden isn't as nice as these properties, but should be cheaper, and the subway access is pretty nice (only Line 10, but the Yu Garden station is small, and really convenient to the hotel). My mom and uncle stayed there last year, and I was impressed with it from a convenience (I'm a little biased because I live and work on Line 10) and value standpoint.
