Stayed here. It has so much potential but is run horribly. Invoked the $100 gurantee after the front desk didn't give me a choice of anything at check-in. Manager offered instead to send a nicer bottle of wine than what I had ordered with dinner. I received a bottle that sold for about 15 euros. So I rejected the bottle and insisted on the compensation. Back and forth ensued. Took several weeks but eventually received a check from Marriott corporate for $100. Not 5 stars despite claiming to be 5 stars. No pre-arrival email. No doorman or bellman. GPS driving directions don't take you to the entrance and there's no good signage. I had a rental car in France and drove in multiple city centers, including Paris. This hotel was the only one that didn't work as directed. I drove around for nearly an hour looking for the entrance and then had to carry my bags 100 yards and up the steps because there was nobody working. Rooms are classic but dated. No electrical or USB outlets that you could use unless you crawled around and moved furniture. No turndown service. No dental kit. Only good parts ere the location (within walking distance of what you will want to see and do in Rouen) and the breakfast, though service was nonexistent at breakfast after the initial pour of coffee. Just can't recommend this hotel. It's basically an independent hotel using Marriott to fill rooms. I stayed at 5 star, 4, star and 3 star hotels, chain and nonchain. If this htoel was being honest it would call itself a 3 1/2 star boutique hotel.
