I am one of the few who love middle seats. Why? Because contrary to what many people think, the middle seat allows 250lb 6ft3" guys like me to not be squeezed up against the window or sit sideways and be bumped by everyone walking down the aisle. My shoulders cover not only my seat but but the two seats next to me plus I get to use both arm rests.It is a beautiful situation as nobody can order me to move to the left or the right. I just sit in the middle and it is what it is. Many many times, a passenger next to me will move.

Perhaps your middle seat pax is a wonderful chatty 250lb, 6ft 3" broad shouldered beer drinking Aussie like me. Just saying!
