I stayed here for 2 nights. Upgraded to a spacious king on points. No suites were available. Was supposed to have a room with a view. That's what the front desk told me but my room's view was of other buildings behind or on the side of the hotel. Some rooms have partial views of the River Thames and a glimpse of Saint Paul's. The operative word is glimpse. Service was very good. Liked my room a lot because it had all the latest design and technological gadgets including electronic blackout curtains. Very comfortable. Immaculate housekeeping with full turndown service. I actually think the service was in terms of housekeeping better than the JW Grosvenor House. As others said there is no lounge. However if you stay Monday to Thursday there is a complimentary wine hour in the lobby bar. Would be nice if they offered it Friday to Sunday because it's not like weekend rates are less expensive. By the way, the floors have vending machines with champagne and other drinks instead of a fully stocked mini-bar in each room. You can also request items for your mini-bar. I asked for Diet Coke and received six Diet Pepsis at no charge. There is a British chain supermarket about a block away if you need any food or drinks for your otherwise empty mini-bar. The breakfast was good but they tried upcharging me for juice. Restaurant is pretty good for dinner too. Reasonable prices by London standards. Can't be the location if you need to be in this part of London. I think they're getting a lot of elites because when I was there I heard a few Platinum and Titaniums complaining about no suite upgrade and no club lounge for elites. Lobby is a little weird because there is no front desk. Instead the front desk if you can call it that is literally a glass desk and the staff just sit there. It isn't great for privacy. You can hear the conversations of other guests because the lobby's main waiting area is right next to it. Just feels like an overthought feature that looks good on a rendering or in a design studio but doesn't work in practice. I also didn't see a conceirge or doorman/bellman.
