You appear to be contradicting earlier statements.
In your first post, you mentioned "linking" reservations. That means you are not on the same reservation.
I don't know many families who (habitually) book their kids' tickets separately to their own - so your reference to "travelling with kids" is irrelevant to the situation as initially hinted at by you, and then further explained here.
If travelling with kids, you stand a good chance of having kids cleared through fasttrack even if not entitled to it, but you must not expect that. The more kids there are, though, the less likely this is to be granted.
However, if an elite tries to "guest" someone their status when the connection appears tenuous at best (a joint reservation indicates otherwise) then expect a refusal.
