Just wondering - posted the same question in the AA forum, but I suspect they might have no idea. I know JEP books into a G class, but is that considered “international” or “domestic” for AA’s earning purposes? On the “domestic” chart for JL, there is no G, meaning it’d earn 0, but if international, then 50% with (I expect) a minimum 500 EQM segment. Anyone know whether my assumptions are true?
I can't comment on AA directly, but on the BA side these flights credited as Y/Y, in other words "sold as Y, credit as Y", and similarly, the paid upgrades came over as "J/J", so from a BA perspective the most generous possible credit for the cabin. If someone was trying to be mean about it, they would credit as something like "G/G", which on BA gives half the full credit in Economy, or even "N/G", which would get a quarter credit.
