UL has some reasonable fares from LHR to MEL, but the connections are hideously long. Given the availability of transit visas for Sri Lanka (plus the fact that the country is a wonderful destination in its own right), I would love to book the above route, with stopovers, however the only way I can find to do so is via the multi-city tool on the UL website. This gives a price far higher than the Black Friday fare for a straightforward LHR-MEL-LHR.

Is anyone aware of a way to force stopovers using the Black Friday sale fare? The booking conditions listed on the UL website do not explicitly exclude stopovers.
