I’m surprised to hear that people don’t like the food options at EWR. Of course it is overpriced (blame the cost of doing business at an airport and the captive customer base), but I find the variety and quality to be above most other airports with some options on par with what I’d expect outside of an airport (e.g., classified). Of course not every food option or item is great, but generally I’ve been pleased.
Plus if you drink, the spirit selection is much broader than typical (Taquila near C132 for example) and there are a wine range of beers on tap / wines by the glass (including the coravin selection across from C73).
In and out of EWR at least every week and this summary captures it. The United Club situation at C is sad and embarrassing but the variety and quality of food and hootch available for purchase is much, much better than it was
