Booked on Swiss TLV to ZUR to NRT and return. Unfortunately had to choose El Al as provider between TLV and ZUR. Swiss website requires me to check in before I can manipulate seating on Swiss (I paid for upgrade to Business between ZUR and NRT). I cannot check in because El AL site does not recognize record locator from Swiss and I am told by Swiss that I can only check in at Ben Gurion on the day of flight leaving me unable to make any changes to my booking - no seat selection or meals (unless I call and even then I do not know as phone calls to El Al with my Swiss locator were met with blank stares over the phone to mix metaphors) with either Swiss or El Al. Not the "Business" experience I was expecting with Swiss. Any thoughts or insight welcome. Rant over.
