The once I forgot the card and left it in the room's slot when I checked out, the hotel kindly forwarded it to my home address.

If I stay at a Hilton, I use my Hilton card in the 'slot' and so on with the other hotel cards I have.

So, if they are being abolished, when my current crop of them wear out, bend or snap etc, I will now have to find another way of keeping the lights on!
